Artist Statement

“My objective in regards to my “Chicano Pop Arte” culture entails in essence a social and political consciousness engaging the mental and spiritual genius. My arte is eccentric satire with a mixture of cosmic fusion. In reality, I’m not your typical traditional artist. Some Burros Cosmicos describe my visual arte as being hysterical pop avant-garde. I simply stimulated myself into a trance of experimental visualization. This why I have produndity in dealing with my cosmic Chicano roots.” – L.A. Vatocosmico c/s

"Once upon a time in the year 1988 A.D., I was driving my 1966 Chevy cosmico lowrider when suddenly there was a mind blowing misty foggy ray of infinity funky fluorescent motif modification of neon lights, I was mesmerized by a U.F.O. and in a flash, the U.F.O. maneuvered and disappeared in space. I was immediately manifested in a cosmico place called the Burro Planet, where Artists, Writers, Poet's, Musicians used to hang around. It was a place to philosophize about Arte, political issues and social issues regarding the Chicano Community."
