Art and Science Fiction In the Americas

"As the self-proclaimed "El Vato Cosmico", LA David is a consummate original, local icon, and recognizable fixture...LA David molds a futurist artifice of Tejano street accoutrements...Bearing motifs of flying saucers, witty burro characters, and aliens gorging themselves on street tacos, LA David fabricates a dynamic alien skin consonant with the speculative fashion technology of a space vaquero and narratives of his intergalactic travels."

"...His fabrics, paintings, and immersive environments conjoin whereby alien imagery bleeds from the walls of the gallery onto his body canvas...his installations create an intertextual and multi sensory experience."
